Krasniqi has been the former Energy Committee leader in Vetevendosje, and has been elected chief executive chief of the Kosovo Energy Corporation in October 2021.
He headed the largest public company was elected by the KEK interim Board through a competition in which 38 candidates have competed.

Otherwise the appointment of members on public enterprises in Kosovo is one of the processes that have been constantly criticised by civil society in Kosovo, but also by the international factor.
Under the law, the board members' appointment process must be carried out in open, transparent and competitive procedure, which aims to make all appointments exclusively on the basis of merit.

Regarding the KEK raids, corporations themselves have spoken.
The Kosovo Energy Corporation said there is no official information on the control conducted by Kosovo Police in the offices of this institution on Wednesday.
In a communiqué sent to the media, KEK said it remains open for co-operation with the law bodies, as well as will provide full access to “in any request from these bodies”.
