Boateng: If Ronaldo were a team player, he'd be on the bench.

Kevin-Prince Boateng has called on Cristiano Ronaldo to withdraw from the Portuguese national team's title formation in favour of the newest players, and that is after Portugal played only equal to 1-1 against RD Congo at the opening of the World Cup.
Ronaldo's performance in Houston on Wednesday, where he set a record as the oldest field player to have started a World Cup match, has been praised as he failed to score a single blow in the gate.
The former Ghanaian national player said Ronaldo's presence prevents Portugal from achieving its full potential and that the team works better without him. Boateng believes Ronaldo has crossed his peak and should be in the game in the last 15-20 minutes of the match instead of being the title.
Henry hits Ronaldon after poor appearance: The team has to score, not you.
Could I be honest? If Ronaldo were a real team player, he'd back down and let the new players develop, because Portugal is a better team without a”, Boateng said first.
There's a lot of pressure when he's in the middle because everybody wants to follow the ball. I understand that. I played with great players like him. You always have to focus on him and let him score. I know he's following records. He's broken all of it”
He was criticized by all, Martinez explains why he left Ronaldo in the field for 90 minutes.
We were big fans of him. But if Portugal wants to have a chance to get away, I think Ronaldo has to step down, let others play and enter the field for the last 15-20 minutes”.
Because we're finally getting to the age we can't play at that level anymore. And those years have come for him, to be honest”, added the former midfielder, who won Serie A with Milan and La League with Barcelona./ Periscope.
