CNN: The US has told Iran that Israel “has agreed to stop” following attacks on Lebanon, according to a source

The US has “conveyed to Iran” that Israel will not further escalate its attacks on Lebanon, while the Trump administration is trying to bring significant nuclear talks with Iran back on the road, according to a well-known source on the issue.
When asked if the US would provide such guarantees, one source said: “Hezballah has violated the ceasefire. Israel has agreed to stop, and this has been forwarded to the Iranians, while it belongs to Hezbollah to stop. ”
CNN has reported that Israel has carried out a wave of deadly attacks in Lebanon, following an attack by Hezbollah that killed four soldiers south of Lebanon, despite agreements aimed at curbing conflict on all fronts.
Iran, meanwhile, has demanded guarantees that hostilities in Lebanon stop before planned talks in Switzerland with senior American officials, including Vice President JD Vance. His planned trip has been postponed.
It is not clear how the American administration has conveyed this message to Iran and whether it will be enough to resume technical talks, CNN writes.
