Memli Krasniqi refuses the president's invitation to discuss Association: There's nothing of these meetings.

The Democratic Party of Kosovo has refused and will reject “consultative meetings” with Kosovo President Vjosa Osmani, warned by the latter to share concerns and concerns about the draft Association of Serb-run municipalities, which Kosovo accepted at the end of October.

Chairman The PDK, Memli Krasniqi, confirmed that it would not take part in the meetings of this nature in an interview for Nacionalen; and that at the time when Democratic League of Kosovo chairman Lumir Abdixhiku held consultative meeting with Vjosa Osmani on the same topic.

Krasniqi said such meetings are “source” and produce nothing.

” The meeting to discuss, as stated at the invitation: about current developments, consultative taxes, and where I can talk about dialogue-related proposals I haven't gone, not for other reasons, but for the fact that nothing comes out or anything is produced by such a meeting. It is the prime minister of Kosovo who has the constitutional precondition and the legal responsibility to move forward in terms of the dialogue process, including association; this implies accession, but also rejection, or alternative proposal. It belongs to Prime Minister”, Krasniqi said.

So, the meetings we can hold that are called consultative are only test meetings. I cannot be released in the role of an analyst to meet with the president to give certain thoughts that produce nothing, because from this meeting beyond a procession and an open discussion we could have, there would be no legal or political effect, nothing. Kosovo's presidency through a media communiqué reported that Osmani with Abdixhiku had the subject of draft-Sttutite discussion, a draft which by Abdixhiku is called <x0austonomi in evolution” and “the potential federalisation”.

” President Osmani with Mr. Abdixhiku has discussed the Association Bill and in this context, has reaffirmed that the Constitutional Court is the institution that should make the assessment of constitutionality, led by the principle of independence and professionalism”, the presidency communiqué said.

”Z. Abdixhiku has announced the president's concerns regarding the LDK's content and the possibilities for dealing with these concerns have been discussed so that differences cannot be allowed that could harm the internal functioning of the Republic of Kosovo”, it is further said.
