Congratulations to newly elected President Bajram Begaj has today forwarded to EU Commissioner for Business and Enlargement Oliver Varhely.

“Urim Bajram Begaj for choosing as Albania's next president. I look forward to working together to further Albania on its EU integration path”, writes Commissioner Varhely.

Bajram Begaj has been elected this Saturday as president of the Republic of Albania by 78 votes, 4 against and 1 abstention. Former Chief of General Staff Bajram Begaj, whose name came out of the SP, will be Ilir Meta's successor and stay at the helm of the state for the next five years.
