Ramosaj: 12 Decani villages without water, we want municipal companies

The water poisoning of hundreds of Decani municipality residents has prompted the mayor of this municipality, Bashkim Ramosaj, to prioritize the creation of a water pipeline company that will be managed by the municipality. While according to him this will take time, Ramos says that actually because of IKSHP tests showing that the drinking water has bacteria and chlorine shortages, the 12 villages in this municipality are left without supplies.

The head of Decani, Bashkim Ramosaj, says that having a public water company, 24 hours will allow water for the decanas.

In a city where there's a lot of water resources like the Decani municipality, it's very unfair to have a problem with drinking water, to have a problem with the quality of investment in capacity, or in standardisation of this water supply, and I'm going to be very insistent, and I'm going to be very competitive in this way that the company is a community... that wants it because it's administrative and legal procedures, but it's political will driven by the needs of citizens I'm sure that if it manages water, it's going to be 24 hours, seven days, seven days in water, it's going to be at the right quality and the standard distribution level of water, if it's going to be at the right level of water... Early this week, the state of patients seeking hospital treatment at the Main Centre of Family Medicine was alarming, but now, according to Ramosaj, the situation is relieved.

The mayor of the Decani municipality has called institutional neglect that the six reserves that Decani residents supply with water only one has automatic chlorinators, and the other five are manuals.

At today's session, Minister of Space Planning and Environment Lieburn Aliu said that the regional water supply company “Hedrodron” is not even protected by parts of the system. I don't know about the license of a regional company such as “Hidrodrin”, but I do know that a regional company for years is doing water management, especially in the Dukagjin plain area, including Kline, Istog, Decanin's Pea” stressed Ramosaj.
