Serbian media write Wednesday that there are three proposals on the table behind which, according to them, lies former US President Barack Obama's close man.
According to this document, which has provided the Serbian newspaper Blic, it is stressed that none of the “possibilities is ideal”.
The first proposal is Serbia's “smulation”, such as donor support and accelerating the road towards the EU as “compromis” for recognising Kosovo's independence.
The second proposal is to create <x0Laeva<x1) new autonomous versions of Serbs in Kosovo, but also of Albanians in Serbia. And the third proposal is to get back to the table, the idea of 2018 in exchange for territories.
According to the newspaper Blic.rs, these are the conclusions of the “review of dialogue between Kosovo and Serbia”, behind which the international crisis group “Think-tank” stands.
The head of this influential group in US politics is Robert Malley, former adviser to Barack Obama's president.
The analysis, according to the media, stresses, among other things, that resolving the dispute would be <x0 useful to stability in the Western Balkans and in Europe”, but also stresses that a way must be sought on mutual recognition, and that the EU countries should show signs that they will support any agreement.
“Belgrade and Pristina must publicly accept the need for compromise”, the Blic newspaper says in analysis.
Furthermore, it is suggested that Brussels should focus on encouraging the negotiations in which the parties are free to consider any solution that is in line with human rights and international law”.
