Kosovo Assembly MP Blerta Deliu has reacted to Serbia's decision to deny the right to participate in a conference organised by Serbia's Parliament's Integration Commission Chairman Nenad Canak.
She wrote in a Facebook post that Serbia's move is weakening the enthusiasm of maintaining the spirit of co-operation among Western Balkan countries.
The Democratic League of Kosovo and MP Vjosa Osmani have also reacted in this regard.
This is Deliu's post:
Serbia's decision to withdraw the invitation to attend the Conference organised by Serbia's Parliament's Integration Commission Chairman. Nenad Canak clearly shows that Serbian power is not willing to secede from the past to be oriented towards what the EU is deeply engaged in, which is democracy, development and good neighbourhood. By submitting to the pressures and threats of individuals convicted of war crimes and genocide like Vojvlav Shesheli, it is clear that such individuals are still determining agendas and are a factor of policymaking a state that is negotiating EU membership
Kosovo as a state has always testified that it is well-oriented.
Today on European Day, we ask representatives of European Union institutions to react against this act more, given the same state today banned Kosovo karateists without any grounds to participate in the European Championship in Novi Sad.
Serbia's latest move dims the enthusiasm of maintaining the spirit of co-operation of Western Balkan states to move jointly towards European integration.
