Serbia's Defence Minister, Aleksandar Vulin, condemned the US Ambassador's statement in Belgrade, Kyle Scott, who called Kosovo sovereign state.
Vulin said Scott “forgot that Serbia is not a colony” and that “cannot violate its dignity”.
On Monday, Scott, responding to journalists' questions at a meeting on economic issues, said the US “recognises Kosovo as an independent and sovereign state”.
I regret that Ambassador Scott did not try to show his arrogance in any case with President (Aleksandar) Vuciq, because he would fly from the government”, Voulin said, broadcast the Balkan Radio Free Europe Service.
From Serbian Prime Minister Anna Brnabyq's cabinet, they say the prime minister does not comment on the government members' statements in the media.
