Giving a speech at this meeting, Vladimir Putin said sovereignty based on the power of the army and naval forces could ensure Russia's sustainable development.
Our “Our campaign is directed against external threats, including terrorism. We do not ask and will not seek confrontation with anyone, we will continue our open and fair policy”, the Russian leader has stressed.
Putin continued to stress that Moscow will continue to boost the Eurasian Economic Union and propose creating a broader integration project that would include Western and eastern countries, reports “Sputnik International” Transmission Periscope.
He added that Russian authorities are ready to work with all states that require co-operation in the principles of “trust and equality”.
“We will never sacrifice the safety of our citizens and the national interests of our people”, the Russian president underlined, adding that the government should focus on protecting human rights and freedoms.
