The country's president, Vjosa Osmani, has sent documents to the Kosovo Prosecutorial Council about the failure to read Blerim Isufaj, as chief state prosecutor.
In the presidency document, it is stressed that citizens' trust in the justice system is seriously shaken when they are raised in doubt as to the integrity of the process conducted at the Kosovo Prosecutorial Council for the selection of the chief state prosecutor.
These concerns have been raised both on the part of nongovernmental organisations and on the part of international partners”, the Presidency document says.

This document comes after the Kosovo Prosecutorial Council (KPK) has held a closed meeting, in which it has discussed the situation created following Kosovo President Vjosa Osmani's announcement, for failing to recall the new head of state, Blerim Isufaj, expressing deep disagreement with her statements.
According to the KKP, Osman's statements are built on a more political than constitutional and legal level, with highly groundless and extremely biased reasoning.
