Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said he regrets the decision and will continue to defend their interests “using any possible legal means”.
This is the second-ever suspension of a country by the Human Rights Council, the first was Libya in 2011.
The vote was held during a present-day meeting held in New York, referring to Russian aggression and war on Ukrainian people, the BBC writes.
