Meanwhile, despite the invitation, there were not the chairman of the Alternative for Change, Shqirim Arifi and Presevo Assembly Speaker Sami Salihu, at the same time chairman of the Reform Movement.
According to a government communique, the results of the election process in Serbia were discussed during this meeting, especially for the three majority Albanian municipalities.
Albanian parties, which competed with two “lists of United Albanians” and “Albanian Democratic Alternative”, participated in these elections.
Albanians in Presevo, Medvedja and Bujanoc have been wronged greatly with the equipment of over 6,000 addresses of Albanian residents in these municipalities, it was said at the start of the meeting.
Prime Minister Kurti said it is a silent ethnic administrative cleansing that is having major consequences.
Serbia's “This approach, which was denied basic and democratic right -- that of the vote -- also brought counterproductive results. So these choices were neither free nor democratic. Lack of unity and co-ordination of Albanian political subjects on a front was another harmful factor for election results, the prime minister singled out”, he said.
Kurti added that the situation of Albanians in general in these municipalities, with Serbia's discriminated and oppressive policies, requires joint commitment and increased vigilance, determination and maintaining the political unity of Albanian subject Presevo, Medvedja and Bujanoc.
After the oppression and discrimination being done to Albanians should not support the attempts to irritate Albanians with each other, part of which is the intention to bring down Presevo Mayor Ardita Sinani. Division and partition are wrong and are wasted, Prime Minister Kurti said, while in the end stressed that proper co-operation and alignment towards defence and advancing Albanian rights is not only a need but the necessity of the time”, the communique said.
