In police, citizens say they are implementing large-scale rules until more sentences have been pronounced for failing to keep the mask.

Kosovo Police spokesman Bucky Kelani has provided details.

The number is not small because we wanted to first touch the side of sensibility. Then we went into giving warnings to avoid it and to show that the goal is sensibility and prevention. At some point when we come to the failure to achieve the goal of these first two points, we are forced to pronounce fines”, Kelani said.

If we take the numbers from August 30th, when the new measures entered into force, we've pronounced some 25 thousand fines. I'm talking about the information I have until September 6th, and based on these figures are also involved in physical legal persons, he added RTV21.

Kelani said the high number of remarks are high, but that citizens are starting to follow new rules.

The “have been somewhere even over 8400 remarks Kosovo police have given to citizens”, Kelani said.

The citizens are now largely implementing the decision to carry the mask, for distance, but also from the business side. The largest number of fines is against physical persons primarily for failing to wear a mask, he explained.
