Hoxhaj: Ambassadors Download by Kurti Government, Biggest Foreign Policy scandal

Democratic Party of Kosovo Chairman Enver Hoxhaj has reacted after the dismissal of 12 ambassadors from diplomatic missions.

According to Hoxhaj, this decision constitutes the country's largest diplomat scandal in foreign policy.

He has said such actions hurt Kosovo's image in the world.

“Government Kurti, with the action yesterday for the return of ambassadors with “political key”, has suspended Foreign Policy. On 23 diplomatic missions, the Republic of Kosovo does not have ambassadors. This constitutes the biggest scandal in Kosovo's foreign policy. The initial removal of ambassadors with “political key” is unprecedented, reckless, uncontaminated. Such kamikaze actions damage Kosovo's image in the world, dim the international subjectivity and overturn the last two decades' achievements at diplomacy”, Hoxhaj wrote.

Otherwise, Foreign Affairs Minister Donika Grovalla will hold the media conference today concerning the dismissal of 12 ambassadors from their diplomatic positions.

Deputy Foreign Minister Kreshnik Ahmeti has confirmed the news.

“In accordance with the Law, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Diaspore (MPJD) has forwarded this week to the president of the Republic of Kosovo, the proposal for release from office, and the withdrawal of the diplomatic mission for all ambassadors of the Republic of Kosovo, politically appointed, thanking them for their work and so far-out commitment. In this regard, Minister Gervala will be declared more thoroughly during tomorrow's”, Ahmeti wrote on Facebook.

12 ambassadors dismissed by Minister Gervala:

Nait Hasani Albania, Gjergj Deday Macedonia North Ylber Hysa Montenegro, Shpend Kalaba ʹ Hungary, Arber Vladhiu éki, Gzim Kasaporli л Koraci, Avni Kastrati viz Slovenia, Bequfaj Germany, Blejqevci way Netherlands, Hajdin Abazi Australia, Amir Ahmeti Qatar and Avni Arifi, United Arab Emirates.

While the former Kosovo ambassador to France, Staying Gashi, announced that the decree has already come to him by the president to be released from the mission. Gashi's mandate has long ended, while to be relieved of duty, Gashi himself has sought it in late December.

After my request made in December of last year, today I have accepted the President's decree to complete my mission in Paris”, Gashi stressed.
