So said Independent Private Sector Union Chairman Yusuf Azemi today, who added that there have been abuses for the distribution of financial means.
Independent Union of the Private Sector of Kosovo Chairman Yusuf Azemi said that for some companies that have had financial circulation from the state at the time of pandemic, the government has even shared workers' means of 170 euros unjustly from the Fiscal Emergency Package, respectively, for 170 euros' salary of workers.
Kosovo's “government for companies that perform services to institutions has fulfilled normal contract obligations and all means for services performed by the company has been paid by the government. The moment the government paid the funds to the private company, these private companies didn't pay their employees for the contract. The Kosovo government, with lists that have been sent to companies unjustly, workers without right from negligence or intention, has also happened that even workers who have not met to be paid directly from the Emergency Package, the Government of Kosovo, without investigating the documentation at all has been pouring supplies to workers. The moment these workers have 170 euros, even though the company has been tasked that a worker pay 250 euros, so it has kept companies at their fund of 170 euros, which is a scandal”, Azemi says.
He stressed that millions of euros will go to the owners from this emergency package, why today the Ministry of Finance and Transference has taken on the obligation to review the issue, following a meeting that has been held with the deputy minister of finance and transfers and directors of the union.
For this action, someone has to go to prison according to Azma, even though he did not publish the names of those companies that might have misappropriated these devices.
I'm saying, under normal conditions, someone had to go to jail for this action being done and for that to prove the organs of justice. We're always talking to official documents. It's hard work when a 24-hour employee in these very serious conditions is misappropriated and their tools... We're not going to talk to company names today because of course at a close conference and see government movements, which today promised us that these tools will either remain in the workers' convoy or they'll come back. In order to avoid publishing today, because we have companies here. The huge part of companies that have tenders with state institutions, they have received tools from the funds of relevant ministries and have received workers from the Emergency Package”, he stressed.
The head of Kosovo's Independent Private Sector Union said in the end that if this continues to deliver without criteria, maybe there will not be enough means for the second month for the 170-euro salary for workers deserving that salary.
