So say Gazeta Blic's sources within the Government of Kosovo.
”Albin Kurti, as head of government, has only until tomorrow deadlines to respond to Ambassador Greenell's tax removal and resume dialogue with Serbia”, said this source of the Blic newspaper within the Government of Kosovo.
Meanwhile, at a conference he had with reporters after the discovery of the secret agreement signed in 2013 between Hashim Thaci and NATO Secretary Anders Fogh Rassmusen, Kurti has indicated he will impose reciprocity on Serbia.
As for the tax removal, he didn't say much to reporters.
We've talked many issues of bilateral importance with the economic approach, and our focus has not been tariffs. I'm sorry that I'm having to repeat our priority not to get the impression that the top word of our policy is Serbia, we have many unresolved issues, but that doesn't change our government agenda”, he says.
The prime minister adds that there has been announced by the Economic Oda that there is a number of violations.
I was informed there is a large number of violations through the tax barriers, which are more sporadic than systemic. Besides one document Serbia does not accept any other documents, and reciprocity is not about revenge or resentment, but that we feel discriminated against and want equality. It comes from the concept of equality and is within international and constitutional relations. It's the most normal thing.
Reciprocity should be like our water and air, but when you're too oppressed then reciprocity looks radical, it's not true, we do it for the sake of Serbia, but for the sake of ourselves. We must protect the interests of the state”, he says.
Meanwhile, the opposition has begun collecting signatures to hold an extraordinary session of the Parliament against removing the tax on Serbian goods.
However, the country's prime minister today has published the agreement signed in 2013 between former Prime Minister Hashim Thaci and former NATO Secretary Rasmusen. Kurt called this deal secret.
Kosovo Prime Minister Albin Kurti at a media conference has declared that now the country's president, Hashim Thaci, as head of government had hidden the agreement signed in 2013.
We had no agreement in Brussels that day, but two. There was one between former Prime Minister Thaci and Daciq, and the other was the former Prime Minister's unilateral pledge now regarding Kosovo, which will not go to the northern part of Kosovo without agreement with KFOR.
It is very important for us to know who has asked for it. We don't believe Brussels has. We believe Serbia has requested it, but this should be considered.
Today we have a memorial of Adam Demac and Astrit Dehar, but this day also marks Mr Thaci's presidency. Before we went to Munich's conference, I tried to meet Thaci so that we could agree, and I tried constantly to see each other so that we didn't have a earphone. Kosovo has government that has emerged from the 6 October elections. The dialogue will be prepared well, but I will lead him.
The hiding of such an agreement, where we thought there was only one agreement, there were two, is flagrant violation of justice. I would like to highlight our position for partnership with KFRO. I have an appointment with the KFOr commander tomorrow. Our concern is a unilateral vow of the former Prime Minister. When the Thaci-Dacic agreement was ratified, MPs did not know there were two agreements. In this way MPs are being put in madness”, Kurt told reporters.
