Ambassador Costett says in front of Serbs in northern Mitrovica: Kosovo is state and will remain as such

US Ambassador to Kosovo Philip Costett, yesterday, has paid a visit to northern Mitrovica, from there, the US ambassador to Kosovo has made it clear that Kosovo is an independent state and will remain as such, RTK2 reports in Serbian language, broadcast time.net.

Costetti has said the US strongly supports the existing EU-led dialogue process, aimed at the comprehensive agreement between Kosovo and Serbia.

He has added that he expects the removal of the tax on products Serbia exports to Kosovo.

I think the next step in this process should be this: Kosovo immediately removes the tax without any preconditions, and we are convinced that if that happens, the government in Belgrade will take positive steps in this dialogue. I think the tax removal is of great importance”, he said.

Kosnet has said the US will not interrupt support for Kosovo if the tax does not happen.
