The last two days in Kosovo, there has been an increase in Corleone cases, and this has resulted in an extraordinary meeting of the Committee for Education and Co-ordination of the situation related to COVID-19.
Health Minister Armend Zemaj has indicated that all actions related to respect for anti-corranvirus measures will be toughed.
It has criticised public institutions and gastronomy bars for not respecting the measures, but has also said that removing Kosovo from the list of high-risk countries has influenced the number of cases with coronarys to increase.
Zemaj has also announced that Kosovo Police and all inspectorates act urgently in preventing the situation from worsening, while also announcing increased inspection capacities with 70 new inspectors.
Monday has also called on all institutions to urgently stop seminars, workshops and other forms of organization where there are collections of people, as well as all sorts of totally unnecessary activities such as different promotions, public gatherings and other activities that can be avoided and are not necessarily to be maintained with the presence of the collection of people.
This is his full announcement:
At today's extraordinary meeting, of the Committee for Education and Co-ordination of the Co-ordination of the Framework situation, we discussed developments of the last two days with the epidemiological situation in the country, as well as the responsibilities each institution should have in its mandate, so that even now after the release of the measures, the situation with Codavi 19 is manageable.
It is time to act urgently to prevent the deterioration of the situation, for which we have only the first signs.
According to our data, the increase in number of cases comes from public institutions, which is a very bad indicator, and it says that what has been said at the last meeting of the Committee that there is non-diclipse in the state administration in terms of implementing the measures, is emerging to be true, without forgetting other institutions and apart from the gastronomy sector, which is putting pressure every day, was given even more time to exercise activity for an hour longer while measures are not implemented on the other side.
I demand today that the Kosovo Police and all indiscriminately inspectors, together with municipalities, act urgently in preventing the situation from worsening, along with us.
The inspections should continue at increased pace, the fines given according to the Law for Combating David-19 Unedia, and there should be no kind of slip from the law but to be exactly implemented.
I also demand that all institutions urgently stop seminars, workshops and other forms of organization where there are collections of people, as well as all sorts of unnecessary activities such as various promotions, public gatherings, and other activities that can be avoided and are not necessarily kept with the presence of the collection of people.
Moreover, the rise in cases seen has also affected Kosovo's removal from the list of high-risk countries and the mass arrival of co-members these days in Kosovo, from European countries that are also marking the high rise of cases with Covid-19 these days.
It is also evidence that there is a decline in discipline in wearing masks and especially in preserving distance.
Therefore, to avoid returning July in November, we must act urgently.
While 37 schools have already returned from Secretary A to scenario C, on-line learning, then on-line should continue working meetings and there should be no mass gatherings and gatherings in any case and no reason.
Like MSH, we are making preparations with other institutions to further strengthen our capacities, and as of next week, 75 new inspectors will be key to helping combat the pandemic as part of the group of 375 professionals engaged in managing the situation through the Kosovar Health Project.
We are also making the right effort to start with the seasonal flu vaccine in November, while testing capacity has increased significantly this week.
That's why I'm asking for concrete action from every institution, and in the next few days, reporting on activities taken from today to prevent another wave, which, in the circumstances of seasonal flu and other eventual viruses, can cause us a lot of trouble.
Protect yourselves and the people around you!
Respect antivid mass to curb the spread of the virus!
Careful every day, we beat the virus!
Together we do it!
Put your mask on!
Keep your hygiene!
Keep your distance!
