Two extra private points say Louis Arce, candidate of the Morales Party named “Socialism (Mas), has won more than 50 percent of Sunday's election votes, with the closest rival to current President Carlos Mesa by about 30 percent.
Anderce, who was finance minister in Morales' government, declared the victory in a live broadcast in the bolivian capital, La Paz.
“E we have restored democracy and, above all, restored hope,” said 57-year-old who is a graduate economist in Great Britain. He was known as Lucho.
Anderce pledged to end the uncertainty following terrible tensions that had engulfed the country since October 2019, following the elections, which were said to be set up and resulting in massive street protests, and with Morales forced to leave the country with security forces.
“We will govern all bolivians... will bring unity to our country,” said Arce.
Morales on the other side is living in ecstasy in Argentina, and he greeted this victory with selected words.
