The country's president, Hashim Thaci, in his opening address at the “People's Voice around the Great Finales between Kosovo and Serbia”, has said that the closure of political dialogue with Serbia, with the legally binding agreement meaning mutual recognition, is the national interest of Kosovo, so it is necessary to be unique in this process.
“We want once and for all to clarify our report as state with the state of Serbia, which can only be achieved through a dialogue that will have clear timetables, precise objectives, races and international support, primarily in the US and the EU. I have no doubt that if we don't make the agreement legally binding between Kosovo and Serbia this year, we will enter a dangerous area of these reports, which could destabilise the entire region”, President Thaci has said.
He has stressed that unfortunately the situation and recent developments are nothing promising and things are not moving at all.
“The lack of dialogue and the prospect of reaching an agreement on normalising relations between Kosovo and Serbia is the greatest possible risk to Kosovo's security and stability”, he has said. /Periscopi/
