Prime Minister Ramush Haradinaj says that with German Chancellor Angela Merkel, they have also discussed the possibility of lifting the tax as part of bilateral actions for the possibility of continuing dialogue.
Asked by reporters whether Chancellor Merkel asked the tax removal, Haradinaj responded this way:
“Kancelara was interested in the possibility of continuing dialogue, of concrete dialogue and conglomeration of dialogue, in the context of this, and the issue of mutual acts of confidence creation. We are not in that situation to make a decision to suspend the tax, but there is also diskisation of this” issue, Haradinaj said, writes Periscopi.
He has said visa liberalisation cannot be a quick process.
We have to wait perhaps two months to the decision, but we have to work to get into the agenda immediately”, he said.
For meeting with Chancellor Merkel, Haradinaj first announced on Facebook before addressing the media.
“honoured at the invitation of German Chancellor Angela Merkel in Berlin to discuss recent developments in our region and the high level of bilateral relations between Kosovo and Germany. As for dialogue with Serbia, I stressed that we are for a comprehensive, legally binding agreement, including mutual recognition, on existing borders. In this case, I thanked Chancellor Merkel for the German state's conspiracy regarding the protection of Kosovo's sovereignty and territorial integrity, as well as for Germany's decision to say yes to the removal of visas for Kosovo citizens, who, although belonging to the more proeurorian people, have long been kept isolated. From Chancellor Merkel I received the confirmation that Germany will continue to support Kosovo on its Euro-Atlantic path and strengthen international subjectivity!”, Haradinaj wrote on Facebook./Periscopi/
