Council of Europe: We are closely following the situation on the eve of local elections in Albania

In a release published on the KiE page, it stresses that June 30th elections should be held in line with all relevant international obligations and standards

“We are closely following the situation on the eve of the June 30th elections in Albania, which must be held in accordance with all relevant international obligations and standards for democratic elections and also in line with national legislation.

In this dispute, we want to remember that the Council of Europe has a long and highly consolidated relationship with O SBE/ The ODIHR, which has set up a mission for monitoring the elections in Albania”, says the EC's official statement.
