“Raise your head. Why? I was only 14 when you raped me. You ruined my life. You've taken everything I've ever dreamed of, sounds like Ashvak Hadji Hamid Talo who couldn't stop crying, and who was then knocked down on the floor after he lost consciousness, broadcast Telegrafi.
She has explained how Iraqi security forces have arrested one of her tormentors and asked if she is able to appear before television screens to confront her in a live broadcast in Baghdad.
By the summer of 2014, the Islamic State had taken control of much of northern Iraq, including the area where the Kurdish Yazidi community lives. Thousands of their women have been kidnapped, abused and sexually exploited by ISIS extremists.
Ashvak was bought by an extremist for only $100. And in 2015 she had managed to escape to Baden-Virtemberg, Germany, where she lived with her mother and brothers.
She left Germany in 2018 after seeing her tormentor on the street, and in September she returned to Germany where she is under the care of doctors and psychologists.
Ashvak had even accused investigators of not seriously handling her case, but has now acknowledged that the extremist had not seen her in Germany.
