Former White House National Security Adviser Charles Cupperman did not appear in the House of Representatives about the investigation if US President Donald Trump committed violations by pressuring his Ukrainian counterpart, Voldymyr Zelenskiy, to investigate his political rival, former US Vice-President Joe Biden.
Kupperman, who served as deputy adviser for National Security, has ignored the mandatory call for interview by three Congress Committees to testify, said Congresswoman Adam Schiff, who heads the House of Representatives Intelligence Committee.
American President Donald Trump has secured immunity for evidence to Kupperman, who has initiated a federal indictment through which he wants the judge to decide whether to testify.
Schiff has said the Quapperman “indictment has no legal basis” and has claimed the White House is aiming to undermine Congress and adviser in potentially giving the evidence <x2concilative>”.
The House of Representatives in the United States has launched investigations into Trump dismissal a month ago, after an informant said Trump had asked Zelenskiy on July 25th to investigate the actions of Biden and his son Hunter.
The House of Representatives investigations could result in trial in the Senate about whether Trump should leave the president's office.
According to the American Constitution, the House of Representatives has the power to dismiss the president for “serious violation and wrongdoing”.
This is the fourth time in American history that has initiated a procedure for sacking the president, although neither of the presidents has left office through this process. /rel
