The party he leads the PDS (Democrat Stranka Srbije) has drafted what it has called „Apel for the protection of Kosovo and Metohija“.
With this “document”, the current leadership of this party and its sympathies, want to arm Serbian opinion against Kosovo independence.
Appeals, as the newspaper <x0danas” writes, have signed 14 academics, 12 bishops of the Serbian Orthodox Church, more than 100 faculty professors and 22 thousand citizens.
Leaders of this party with appeals in their hands are staying in the cities of Serbia, and there are organising Kosovo on the only topic, as they say, the betrayal that Serbia's leadership is making with it.
„Serbia today is leading Turkish-Turkish, Turkish politicians” have said party chairman Milos Jovanovic adding that if Kosovo is betrayed, things will not stop here”, Time broadcasts.
With our appeal, we are travelling across Serbia. Smederava is the first city where we cannot find any hall to talk about Kosovo. They didn't even want to take our money”, history professor Milos Kovic said, threatening and “tradition we won't allow”.
Another debater, Dr Slobodan Jankovic, has complained that in “Smederevo has few interested people” but, as he added, has good news: „We are the majority. All polls, even younger ones, say 81 per cent of people in Serbia oppose Kosovo independence“.
Other speakers have complained that this appeal is not mentioned much in Serbian media, especially not on public television.
