Kosovo, Hungary agree on agreement, investment in Kosovo soon

Trade and Industry Minister Andrew Shala has been hosting Hungary's ambassador to Kosovo Laszlo Markus, where they have discussed deepening co-operation between the two states. Minister Shala has presented MTI priorities, indicating that the support of local producers and the appeal of foreign investors will be of greater focus.
With my appointment to the MTI, I plan to increase the dynamics of work, and my priority is consumer protection, which is in the responsibility of the ministry I lead, the protection of local production and the stimulus of local producers”, Shala has said.
Hungary's Ambassador Laszlo Markus has expressed willingness to support Kosovo in the field of agriculture, namely, has offered co-operation to enable farmers to export Kosovo products to Hungary.
Minister Shala and Ambassador Markusz agreed to sign a two state agreement that will serve Kosovo in the field of foreign investment protection.
Also during this meeting, the ambassador has presented to the minister the interest of a Hungarian investor who will open in Kosovo a plant for the production of agricultural machinery.
Minister Shala voiced readiness that all state capacities be available to the investor.
The minister and ambassador agreed that very soon jobs will be concreteised and the agreement on agricultural products reached and support for Kosovo from Hungary in protecting foreign investments.
