Kryeziu: Postponing the Constituent session is ridiculous and irresponsible

KDI Director Ismet Kryeziu has said that not calling the Assembly Constituent session and reasoning of incumbent President Albulen Haxhiu, that political parties should be given more time for negotiations is as funny, as irresponsible to citizens.
Moreover, parties have had plenty of time to negotiate and can continue to negotiate even after the Parliament's framework. Meeting a constitutional obligation with the reasoning that more talks are needed cannot be held hostage. Meanwhile, the country continues, for nearly two years, to operate with office institutions and improvised solutions. If almost two years along with three sets of elections are not enough to reach even a minimum agreement, how much more time do they need? And by what reason?”, it wrote in “Facebook”
Kryeziu has said that the approach of opposition parties is equally irresponsible. “So far, they have not made any public requests and any concrete action for the country's as fast as possible. This situation, along with the inability to overcome party and individual interests, is normalising a perception, that this political class, these current acts, have neither the capacity nor the responsibility to build, functional and maintain institutions of a democratic state. The level of democratic development is measured not only by the organisation of elections, but also by the ability to turn citizens' will into functional, effective and accounting institutions”, Kryeziu has said.
