The number of confirmed cases with Ebola in the Democratic Republic of Congo has marked growth, reaching 1,708 cases, according to new data published by health authorities.

According to reports, 580 victims have been recorded from these cases, increasing concern about the spread of the virus in the country.

The Health Ministry of the Democratic Republic of Congo had earlier announced that 1,561 cases of Ebola, including 506 deaths, had been confirmed, while recent figures show a deterioration of the epidemiological situation.

Health authorities continue efforts to monitor cases, address the affected, and limit the spread of the virus, considered one of the most severe infectious diseases due to the high mortality rate.
