Russia again attacks Ukraine, seven killed before NATO summit

At least seven people have been killed by the new Russian attacks in Ukraine, just hours before the meeting between US President Donald Trump and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky at the NATO summit under way in Ankara.
According to Ukrainian authorities, one person lost his life in the capital, Kiev, where a missile attack caused fire in several warehouses, Mayor Vitaly Klitschko announced.
A powerful explosion was heard shortly after midnight, even before air alarm sirens were activated, a rare failure of the warning system that has disturbed the residents of the capital, writes Euronews, broadcast Periscope.
In the southern region of Mykolaivi, a mother and her daughter were killed by Russian bombings of cruise air bombs, the head of the regional military administration, Vitaly Kim, announced.
Two other people were killed in the northeastern Kharkiwi region, while two others lost their lives in the southern region of Kherson, near the front line, according to local officials.
Russia has intensified attacks on Kiev during the past week. This month alone, ballistic missile attacks and fears have caused more than 50 casualties in the Ukrainian capital.
Meanwhile, at the NATO summit in Ankara, President Zelensky has called on allies to supply Ukraine with ammunition for American Patriot air defence systems, which are considered vital to halt Russian ballistic missiles.
Ukraine, on the other hand, has stepped up attacks on Russia's so-called “shadow float”, old tankers carrying oil and providing important revenue to the Russian economy. According to the commander of Ukrainian fears forces, 21 Russian ships have been hit in the Black Sea and the Azov Sea over the past 72 hours./ Periscope.
