“I want to do business with them”, Trump orders us to cut off trade with Spain.

US President Donald Trump said on Wednesday at a NATO summit that he had ordered his Treasury Secretary, Scott Bessent, to terminate all trade with Spain, calling Madrid a terrible “parter” in the alliance.
Trump, speaking with NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte at the start of the summit in Ankara, said he did not want to do business with Spain, reports Reuters.
He has repeatedly expressed disappointment with Spain, which has not agreed with NATO's new defence spending target of 5% of GDP and whose Socialist leadership has refused to allow the US to use its airspace or bases on its territory for war in Iran.
I don't want to trade with them, okay? ”
Take him away, and do not speak to them. They're hopeless. They're bad people, he added”. They make so much money with us, and we'll see that they make much less. I don't want any business with them.”
The United States has two important military bases in Spain: Sea Station Rota and Moron Air Base.
