In a Facebook post, Haradinaj emphasises that Engel during his entire vital engagement devoted itself to the Kosovo and Albanian issue, making an irreplaceable contribution on the road to freedom and independence.
“Albanians will always be grateful for his historic and irreplaceable contribution to Kosovo's freedom and independence, and he will always be remembered as the icon of eternal friendship with the US”, Haradinaj wrote.
He has also expressed condolences for the Engel family, collaborators and the Albanian-American community, adding: “rest in peace. ”
