Police pronounce over 35,000 traffic fines for six months in Pec, calls for citizens to respect rules

Kosovo police, through a communique for the media, have indicated that during the first quarter of this year, in Pec, 35,265 fines have been pronounced for traffic violations.

Police also say that 1,632 fines have been imposed with protection measures to stop driving, during the duration of three months to one year, and that 3,047 fines have been pronounced with negative points, in line with legal provisions in force.

The Regional Police Directorate in Pec, through police stations and the Regional Road Communications Unit, under the implementation of operational activities and measures to increase road traffic security during the 01.01.2026 period 30.06.26, implementing legislation in force in the area of road communication, has taken measures against traffic offenders as follows:

These results reflect the police's continued commitment to law enforcement, accident prevention, and increased security for all participants in communications.

Since we are in the summer season when there is a significant increase in vehicle flow and in the number of traffic participants, police call on all drivers, bikers, bicycles, and pedestrians to comply with traffic regulations, adjust to road conditions, avoid driving under the influence of alcohol or other substances, and show increased caution during the movement.
