Chairman The PDK, Bedri Hamza, has said the Parliamentary Group The PDK does not support avoiding procedures for budget cuts for the Kosovo Republic budget for 2026.
He criticised the way the government is bringing laws to the Assembly in an accelerated manner, which he said are contrary to transparency and accountability.
Hamza said these actions are being taken by the Government to bring the country to the polls.
“Cuz that from the start all actions are shown, the Government is taking the country to the polls. Given the statements, initially the Parliament, Government, budget, international agreements, then the president. There has been no action, no serious intention in trust in co-operation that the country has given institutional stability and that the country has given political stability. This is not a review. There's no review for municipalities here, for budget organizations. I've never seen anything like it in 26 years. Don't even think that bad is”.
Hamza said these changes are required to be made without clearly showing where the tools come from.
“You're saying add an additional 122 million of public money, give us an opportunity to abuse public money, to simplify it, to make the purchase of votes through public money, and to an accelerated” procedure.
