Qatar and Iran Resume Sea Trade

Qatar and Iran have announced the resumption of maritime trade among their ports.
Qatar's Transport Ministry in a statement posted on X Sunday said naval activities will resume with immediate effect.
Iranian state media have reported that the reopening of Qatar's port of Al-Ruwais for Iranian goods and the resumption of maritime trade between the two countries.
The route between Al-Ruwais and the Iranian port of Dayeyer is the shortest trade transport route across the Persian Gulf.
Qatar is one of the main mediators between Iran and the United States and has repeatedly argued about dialogue to end the Gulf conflict.
A week earlier, the tarant had asked all ships to suspend navigation and naval activities until further notice amid renewed sea transport tensions in the southern Gulf.
