Air interference to extinguish fires in Fier

Air intervention has begun for the extinguishing of the fires in Fieri City Driza. Civil Protection Sector Manager near Prefecture Fier, Kreshnik Ymeraj, said the situation poses problematic as flames have spread to a wide area and near the residential area.

According to him, there are 10 fire vehicles and 50 effective field operations, while the priority is being paid to housing protection.

The situation is presented as critical, since fire that first fell on a olive surface spread with rescuers because of the wind. On the ground are intensively working the fire forces of Fier, Roskovec, Patos and Albpetrol, which are trying to control the flames and avoid other damage.
