SPAK seeks Balluk arrest, Parliament postpones Council of Immunity meeting

It is taught that Socialist Party deputies have demanded that the Constitutional Court's decision be expected, whether it is suspended or not, by the decision of the JCKKO.

Albanian Prime Minister Edi Rama called for the ouster of Balluk's suspension by the JKKO, meanwhile, the Constitutional Court has not yet come up with a decision.

Constitutional members gathered yesterday only a few minutes to discuss the issue, but did not come up with a decision. Some of the members have claimed they need more time to come up with a decision because of the complexity of the issue.

The JCKKO, at the request of the SPAK, suspended from office Deputy Prime Minister Balluk, indicted for abuse with the Llogara tender, but Prime Minister Rama described it as a violation of his competencies.

Rama led to the Constitutional Court the Balluk case, with the argument that the JKKO has violated the border of another power -- the executive one taking over its competencies as prime minister for the suspension or dismissal of a government member. Following Prime Minister Rama's request, the court temporarily returned Balluk to office until its case is essentially reviewed by the Constitution.

The defendant for violations in the 190m-euro tender of the Llogara tunnel and under investigation of 7 other prosecution procedures concerning the construction of the Grand Ring's tears, the SPAK has doubts that Balluk being in office risks undermining investigative evidence and intigating witnesses.
