Subsemination of school texts

Subsemination of school texts

From today, the application process for subsidisation of textbooks and school materials has officially started for all students of low and low elementary education (Seconds 150) in the Republic of Kosovo.

The Ministry of Education and Science (MASH) has indicated that the application will be realised through Kosovo's state platform and will remain open for two weeks, until 9 August 2026, respectively.

Financial tools destined for the purchase of books and teaching tools will go directly into the bank accounts of parents or legal stewards applying.

Important Guidance Before Applying

To avoid delays or interruption of the payment process, the ministry calls on parents to make sure that the bank accounts of the applicants are active and accurate before they apply. Personal data on the Kosovo platform is also required.

All submitted applications will be verified by relevant schools through authorised co-ordinators.

Procedure for Foreign Citizens

Subvention is also possible for foreign citizens who have access to temporary or permanent residence in Kosovo, whose children continue teaching in the country's schools.

For those foreign citizens who have not yet obtained residence permits, but have their children registered in educational institutions, The UN will hand over the Information Society Agency (ASHI) relevant lists aimed at creating access to Kosovo. Documents for this category should be sent by email to the address [email protected].

Warning to Preserve and Return Books

In line with Administrative Guide. 13/2016, the ministry recalls that students and parents bear full responsibility for preserving textbooks.

At the conclusion of the teaching year, the texts must be returned to the steward in regular condition. If books are deliberately damaged, negligent or lost, the parent is legally obliged to replace or compensate them.
