The Peace Board welcomes Kosovo's membership, Prenkaj: Do not react to political discontent

Kosovo President Vjosa Osmani, on 22 January this year, has signed Kosovo's membership at the Peace Board. Alber Prenkaj, a career ambassador, estimates that this membership is good news for Kosovo.

Kosovo's “Membership on the Peace Board is good news because it returns Kosovo to the political map of European geography. Kosovo should start to see its benefits under this board. There are over 50 per cent of countries that do not recognise Kosovo on this board, so Kosovo must work on this multilateral platform to increase the number of recognitions.”, Prenkaj told Rtv21.

It also criticises the Kurti II Government reports with the United States.

“We've seen Kurti II Government have had difficult communication with the United States, showing lack of co-operation, and this has cost us, as we have seen the suspension of strategic dialogue. There may also be disappointment that Mr. Kurti has not been invited, but there is no reason, since we currently have neither legal nor legitimate governments. Meanwhile, the president has been the only means of communication with the United States that has both legality and legitimacy. ”

According to Prenkaj, the government's lack of reaction could also have internal political background.
