At a comatary ceremony at the National Library amphitheatre in Pristina, Israel's ambassador to Kosovo, Tamar Ziv, said anti-Semitism continues to be present in the world and has scope among the Jewish people, for which she added that physical attacks and hate speech are reported every day.
“Holokaust was the ultimate denial of human rights and dignity. It stemmed from an anti - Semitic ideology that deprived people of their rights, dehumanized them, and declared that some races are nonhuman, and therefore dangerous for society and must be eliminated. Anti - Semitism, hatred of Jews, did not end with the Holocaust 81 years ago. It has become rhetorical to the denial of the Holocaust, to physical attacks on Jews and Jewish communities worldwide, and to call for the destruction of Israel's State”, the Israeli ambassador said.
She also mentioned statistics of anti - Semitic incidents.
Over the last three months of 1923, after the October 7th attack, over 1,700 antisemitic incidents were documented. In 2024 this number doubled to more than 6,300 incidents, and the year 2025 marked further growth. Since October 7th, over 13,000 antisemitic incidents have occurred worldwide, including deadly attacks in the United Kingdom, the US, Europe and Australia, in which more than 20 Jews were killed only because they were Jewish”.
Meanwhile, Germany's ambassador to Kosovo, Rainer Rudolph, has remembered his personal visit to this concentration camp, which he had first visited at the age of 17 as a student.
A view that's engraved on my memory is the railway tracks that end there, because there's no going back for those who head toward that” camp, Rudolf has declared.
Furthermore, the ambassador has stressed that Germany's commemoration of Auschwitz is an act of historic responsibility.
We will never forget these crimes committed by the Germans, in the name of Germans, nor the untold suffering that was caused. Likewise, we will never forget what humanity is capable of when racial superiority ideology becomes official state policy, enabling the industrial murder of a targeted group of humanity”, he said.. /Periscopi/
