The Constitutional Prosecutor in Gjakova has filed charges against 57-year-old Sejdiu Mazrek, who is suspected of criminal acts “heavy attempted murder” and “holding ownership, control or unauthorised possession of weapons”, over an incident that took place in June in the village of Maisheva Pagan.
According to the indictment, the event took place on June 11, 2026, about 12:07, after a bus line dispute. The suspect, armed with an AK-47-type automatic weapon, had first blocked the road with his tractor and then set fire to a bus headed by the V.S., where two other passengers were located.
Several parts of the bus have been damaged by the shooting, while according to the Prosecution, the lives of persons in the vehicle have been endangered. Despite the attack, none of them have suffered bodily injuries.
Investigations have also found that the defendant owned automatic weapons, magnification and ammunition allegedly used during the work's performance. All were seized by law enforcement at the scene.
The prosecutor of the case has proposed to the court that, after managing evidence during the trial process, Mazreku. To be found guilty and punished for what is laid upon him in accordance with the Penal Code.
