PDK Parliamentary Group chief Abelard Tahiri, in his case at the solemn session on the occasion of the 16th anniversary of Kosovo's independence, has recalled that it was Hashim Thaci who on February 17th 2008 declared Kosovo's independence.
“16 years ago Hashim Thaci on behalf of the people of Kosovo introduced the Kosovo Parliament's declaration of independence through which he declared Kosovo independent and democratic state”, Tahiri has said.
Tahiri says Thaci, who declared independence, today does not enjoy Kosovo's freedom, however, says his work lives and that Hashim Thaci's historic work is being celebrated in the Assembly today.
The one who read these words does not enjoy Kosovo's freedom, but his work lives, so today we are gathered to celebrate his historic work”, Tahiri said.
He has said those being held in prison at The Hague are at great battle for justice and to clear the KLA's name.
“Thaci, Kadri vicesli, Rexhep Selimi and Jakup Krasniqi and many others are in the big battle for justice to clear the name of UCK”, Tahiri has said further.
