Kosovo Prime Minister Albin Kurti has said he believes in friendship with the US and the European Union, but that the latter should not have the same access to both Kosovo and Serbia.
My government deeply believes in permanent friendship with the United States of America, European Union states and beyond. We are deeply transatlantic. The United States of America and the European Union with each other and with us. But access to Kosovo and Serbia cannot be the same. Serbia is an autocratic country, Serbia is not a democratic country. Freedoms and human rights are being printed in Serbia, the opposition is printed, and Russia has its regional centre”, Kurti has declared.
The session at the Kosovo Assembly on Friday is discussing the situation of increasing tensions in the country's north.
