Serbia must understand and recognise that Kosovo is independent. Unfortunately, this has not been accepted by even some European Union members”, Milanvic said, reports “Index.hr”.
Milanovic has said he was the only one, after the Russian invasion of Ukraine, who invited other European states to recognise Kosovo.
But it's like talking to a wall. Some countries have not recognised it because they fear precedents that eventually, in some moment of crisis, in a drop of immunity, can be applied in their countries and something” is taken, Milanovic said.
Milanic said it should be stopped repeated that “Kosovo is Serbia”.
“It's not a brother, it's closed business”
Kosovo is still not recognised by five EU states -- Cyprus, Greece, Romania, Slovakia and Spain.
Croatia's Defence Minister, Mario Banozic, has also talked about reports of withdrawing the Croatian contingent from KFOR.
Banozic said that “is not about attraction”.
“As a responsible member of NATO, Croatia has its obligations, which it will overturn in the best direction”, Banozic said.
Milanovic, meanwhile, said he makes the decision as Croatia's president.
“Alone or in agreement with the minister, but first itself. I will not make that decision, until I consult that man who will not speak to me, because I have hurt him, because his ego is more important than anything else. We all have egos, I'm talking about Plenkov, not Banozic”, Milanovic said, hailing Prime Minister Andrija Plenkov.
Milanovic has said that in Kosovo there are no “people sent to endanger or return disabled”.
