In a response Wednesday to FacebookThe Centre said Aliu-Krasnici, who has publicly supported the ruling party, Vetevendosje Movement, cannot be considered “in any independent way”.
We regret to see this development as it conflicts with the process of depoliticising the KPM that the VV had started. These appointments are a major step towards political retake, the same way that took place in the past”, the EPCPMF's response said.
The centre announced that it will immediately inform the Council and Europe Parliamentary Assembly of this disturbing development.
Luljeta Aliu-Krasniqi has been elected a member of the Independent Media Commission Board after receiving most of the votes from MPs in the voting process in front of Violet Hyseni-Kelmendi in the race for the women's board member.
The process of electing members of the KPM Board was conveyed with irregularities and nontransparity. Candidates were interviewed without camera presence. The same was done at the time of their dedication.
