More than 14,000 black job suspects discovered in Switzerland

The raids conducted during 2025 uncovered thousands of suspected cases of undeclared work. Many of them are associated with those who worked without valid residence or work permits.
Swiss authorities have identified more than 14,000 suspected cases of undeclared labour during the raids conducted in 2025.
According to a report released Wednesday by the State Secretariat for Economic Affairs (SECO), 14,450 companies have been inspected over the past year to verify implementation of labour legislation, writes Albinfo. ch.
In total, 44.083 workers have been checked.
Of these checks, 14,500 cases suspected of work “black” are referred to competent authorities for further investigation. According to the SECO, a large part of these cases are linked to foreign citizens working without valid work permits or stance.
