So is praising former Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Anton Berisha, who has conducted an interview for Front Online two days before the Ohrid meeting between Kosovo Prime Minister Albin Kurti and Serbian President Aleksandar Vuciq on the very issue.
“abim would be if Kosovo disagrees with the EU and the US plan. What Kurt stated in the opposition is his personal interest, but it is important for us to benefit Kosovo, which with guarantees loses if they don't sign the” plan.
The former Kosovo ambassador to Slovenia expects compliance between the parties, but there are dilemmas whether to place firms on paper from the heads of both states.
“expects compatibility because the Vucici and Kurt space has narrowed. They're left with the option. Take it or take it. As for the signing, there may be extensions for Vuqic's Kurti to be clarified before their opinion or wish that the deal be signed at any larger diplomatic centre. The EU interested in content. Formal aspect is secondary”, Berisha stressed.
Berisha confirmed that Kurti certainly has to apply the Association.
“Kurt hasn't tried to screw up. The Franco-German plan envisions implementation of all agreements. There is no room for Kurti, except to manipulate public opinion somewhat”, Berisha stressed.
February 27th meeting
European Union for Foreign Policy High Representative Josep Borrell has announced that he has concluded the meeting between Kosovo Prime Minister Albin Kurti and Serbia's President Aleksandar Vucic with the agreement that no longer be discussed on the European proposal.
Borrell has said that regarding this proposal the two leaders of the two countries have agreed to stop discussing and expect what will happen at the next meeting, whether this proposal will be signed or not.
Both leaders have shown responsible behavior. I am pleased to announce that Kurti and Vuciq have agreed no more discussions on the European proposal, which has the title normalisation of relations between Kosovo and Serbia”, Borrell has declared at a news conference.
Kurti, on the other hand, had said Kosovo is on track towards normalising relations with Serbia.
“We are on a good path and a degree of normalisation of relations. It is the symmetry, good neighbourly agreement and future co-operation”, Kurti said.
Serbian President Aleksandar Vuciq had claimed they had not agreed on anything with Kurti.
We haven't reached a deal today. Mr. Kurt's here to sign something but we haven't agreed. We've asked to work harder on creating association. Either way, association is our first point. Anyone who doesn't understand the 2013 deal is not willing to understand reality. We meet again on March 18th. The next meeting in Macedonia”, Vucic said.
