The visit is conducted within the high-level political dialogue between Albania and France for further strengthening of strategic partnership between the two countries, dialogue on the new approach to the membership process, which Albania's prime minister has been one of the most stimulating voices, as well as the upcoming NATO summit in Ankara.

The meeting is the continuation of meetings between the two leaders, who have officially met in Paris in April 2024, as well as in Tirana in October 2023 and May 2025, while meetings have been held regularly in various multilateral formats and telephone contacts.

Albania praises France's role and President Macron's personal engagement in promoting a new approach to the Western Balkans and in supporting the region's European perspective. In this context, the visit to Paris is expected to reaffirm the common will for deepening strategic partnership between the two countries and for further advancement of Albania's European integration process. /Periscope/
