France and Brazil explode in criticism of stadium field where World Final 2026 will be played

France and Brazil have expressed serious concerns about field quality at East Rutherford's MetLife Stadium in the United States during the 2026 World Cup phase.
Players and trainers from both representatives have criticised the surface of the game, describing it as extremely strong, dry and unequivocal in some areas, which they say directly influenced the circulation of the ball and the quality of the game.
Guardian William Saliba shared the same attitude by criticising the conditions of the field.
Similar complaints had earlier produced Brazil's star, Winnitius Junior, reports Telegrafi, Periscope.
The Brazilian attacker stressed that high temperatures and dry conditions quickly damage natural grass, making game control and stock development more difficult.
On the other hand, France's selection, Didier Deschamps, was more diplomatic in his comments, acknowledging that conditions are not ideal, but underlining the need to adapt. We need to get used to these conditions. There may be some concrete under the surface of the grass. The bar here is too short. However, we will adapt. Clearly, this changes certain aspects of the game, but we consider these technical details”, Deschamps said.
The quality of the field has been one of the most controversial topics in the first weeks of the World 2026, while organisers are expected to monitor closely the land situation for the rest of the tournament. /Periscope/
