40 fruit cases in Kosovo, IKPK calls for child vaculation

Kosovo National Institute of Public Health ( The IKPK has announced that during April 16th, June 22, 2026, a total of 40 fruit-confirmed cases have been recorded in Kosovo.
According to official data from IKSC, the distribution of cases according to municipalities is presented as follows: Ferizaj leads on 11 occasions, Pristina with 9, Kacanic with 6, Fushesh-Kosovo with 3, while Lipjani, Vushtrria, Shtime and Obilqi have two cases each. Also, in one case it was reported in Gjilan, Drenas and Decan.
The IKBPK calls on citizens to be cautious and present themselves immediately to health institutions in case of manifesting suspicious symptoms such as high fever, frying or change in skin, cough, shaving and conjugal.
In view of the high efficiency of measles, the risk of spreading it to the community, and the complications producing measles, IKPK calls on parents and stewards to verify the status of vaccination of their children and provide vaccines according to the regular communication calendar at family medical centres. The vaccine remains the most effective and safer measure for preventing measles, protecting unexcused individuals and preserving public health”, says IKKKPK. /Periscopi/
